We are seeking an inspirational Director to lead our China based operation and take responsibility for all aspects of project delivery, strategy and business development. The post holder will manage BioRegional’s One Planet Communities programme in China and coordinate consulting projects. The successful candidate will need to be able to develop strong networks with local government contacts and real estate and construction sectors. They must also be familiar with managing projects in the built environment sector, and have a background in engineering, urban design, environmental design, planning or construction.

The role works closely with and reports to the UK based One Planet Communities team. You will play a key role in deciding future strategy, direction and new project areas. The post holder will have staff management responsibility for the China based team. 

During the first 12 months the successful candidate will be expected to work on the One Planet Communities project in Chongqing. Once the project is established there will an opportunity to remain in Chongqing or work in Beijing. The job holder will also be expected to make occasional visits to the UK head office.

A competitive salary and holiday allowance is available. This is a full time, permanent position. Candidates must be fluent in English and Mandarin.
