Policy and Advocacy Manager

Freya works as an International Policy Advisor at BioRegional in the Leadership and External Affairs Team. Since 2010, Freya has been coordinating BioRegional’s participation in the Rio+20 process and more broadly leads on the organisation's policy work both in the UK and internationally.

Before joining BioRegional Freya worked in New Delhi in India for two and a half years, where for the first 18 months she volunteered with VSO in an HIV and AIDS women’s network and then went onto work at the Times of India newspaper as a Researcher and Programme Advisor. In India she also worked with the Centre for Legislative Research and Advocacy as Programme Manager of Environment and Climate Change, here she worked closely with Indian parliamentarians to influence policy and legislation at a national level.

Freya has an MA in Social Anthropology and Sociology from the University of Edinburgh.
