Sue Riddlestone OBE, co-founder and CEO of Bioregional said:
“Sustainability is still seen by most as tedious and mystifying – a matter for ‘experts’. Our One Planet framework is different to any other sustainability framework because it uses everyday language that anyone can understand, while being backed up with our analysis of what the science says is necessary for us to live within the Earth’s limits. This is a powerful story, and we are looking forward to working with Satellite MPR to share that story more widely.”
Launching Spring 2018, oneplanet.net will be an online platform designed to enable anyone, anywhere in the world to easily plan and implement sustainability initiatives. It represents the evolution of our One Planet framework and aims to build a global community collaborating to build a sustainable future for all.
A number of leading built-environment businesses have already signed up as Global Founders to support the development of oneplanet.net. They include BuildGreen Solutions, Cundall, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Elementa Consulting and Sherwood Design Engineers. Bioregional is now seeking to sign up additional Global Founders to further develop the platform over the coming months.
Claire Lalaguna, Managing Director of Satellite MPR, said:
“We are delighted to be working with Bioregional on this important initiative. Its aims resonate deeply both with our own business and complements the sustainability commitments of many of our clients. The built-environment sector has long recognised the need to change the way it does things in order to save the planet and has often been at the forefront in driving the sustainability agenda.
oneplanet.net could be a game-changer and will certainly help to scale Bioregional’s One Planet framework, speeding up global, cross-sector collaboration and knowledge-sharing and helping to build a sustainable future for all.”
