Jobs at BioRegional

BioRegional Development Group is an environmental organisation bringing local sustainability into the mainstream of our economy. The group takes a market-led approach, developing economically viable solutions allowing us to meet more of our everyday needs from local, renewable and waste resources.

The group, including 5 companies which have grown out of the work of the charity, employs 37 staff, and is growing steadily.

If you would like to see current BioRegional personnel view our key people page. You can also watch a video portrait of life in the BioRegional office.

Pension
BioRegional offers employees access to a group stakeholder pension scheme invested in ethical funds through Norwich Union. For employees wishing to take up this scheme, BioRegional will contribute a sum equivalent to 6% of salary into this stakeholder pension after 3 months employment.

Details of these vacancies are also available on environmentjob.co.uk and www.charityjob.co.uk

Internships and volunteers

We do occasionally offer internships, work experience placements or study projects for people who wish to pursue their interest in sustainability. We are a charity with not-for-profit business spin-outs and so student placements here are unfortunately unpaid, although we do pay for expenses incurred in the course of work.

It does require a time-commitment from our staff to support volunteers and students. Therefore, although we would ideally love to take anyone with an enthusiasm for sustainability, we need to be able to see how you could contribute to our aims. You will therefore need to sell your skills to us so that we can see how you could fit into our organisation.

People who are likely to be shortlisted include students studying for Masters level qualifications, or above, or graduates with professional experience who are considering a career change. We would expect to see evidence of a commitment to the environment.

There is no specific deadline for applications. If you are interested in applying, please email your CV and a covering letter explaining your interests and motivation, and confirming the time-commitment that you can make, to:-

Joanna Hills,
Director of Planning and Performance
