Richard McCarthy, Chief Executive
of the Peabody Trust, said:
“We have had an extremely high level of interest in BedZED
from prospective purchasers and the opening of the show home complex
marks the start of a particularly exciting stage for the development.
I am confident that the innovative environmental features at BedZED
and the provision of homes with a mix of tenures as well as the
facilities provided, will create a sustainable new community that
could provide a model for future urban developments.”
