About
One Planet Products
One Planet Products is a bulk-buying initiative that is
working with partners within the construction and refurbishment
industries to increase the supply and quality of sustainable building
products and services.
One Planet Products is
a member owned club, and provides its members (businesses engaged
in residential development) with a mechanism through which they
will be able to purchase environmental products, materials and services
more cost effectively and more easily. We also provide a guide to
the available Eco-Homes points associated with each product listed.
One
Planet Products Members
Our members are businesses that are building or refurbishing residential
developments in the UK, and include housing associations, private
developers and contractors.
Our members want to incorporate
sustainable products and materials into their developments and may
be particularly concerned about meeting EcoHomes and Code for Sustainable
Homes standards.
Our members are interested in
the savings they can make (environmental, time and money) from membership
of the One Planet Products group. One Planet Products
publishes the environmental and cost savings for each listed product
and our product review enables members to select proven sustainable
products quickly, without the need for carrying out expensive and

One Planet Products Suppliers
Our suppliers are businesses which manufacture and/or distribute
products and materials which have demonstrable environmental benefits
and are applicable for use in the residential construction and refurbishment
industry.
Our suppliers recognise the bulk
purchasing capability of the One Planet Products group
and are prepared to offer club members a price and service commitment
commensurate with this.
Our suppliers have either regional
or national supply capability, and demonstrate a clear commitment
to sustainability.
Our suppliers cover many areas
of sustainable building, from domestic solar energy solutions and
water-saving devices to natural insulation products and flooring.
We are always interested in hearing from potential new suppliers
to increase our range of listed products.

One Planet Products Partners
One Planet Products was launched
by BioRegional Development Group, an independent environmental organisation,
and forms part of One
Planet Living®, a a global initiative based on
10 principles of sustainability developed by BioRegional and WWF.
One Planet Products also
has representatives from BioRegional, WWF, the Building Research
Establishment (BRE), SEEDA and the UK Green Building Council (UK
GBC) on our advisory board. This enables One Planet Products
to draw on considerable environmental knowledge and expertise relating
to the design and specification of sustainable buildings. This knowledge
base also forms the basis of the One Planet Products' ‘product
review’, and allows One Planet Products to make informed
choices when identifying products and materials for inclusion on
the product list.
