Bust your carbon Campaign

Client: Carillion

In December 2010, BioRegional ran a ‘Bust your Carbon’ behaviour change campaign targeted at site and office staff building the Media Hub for London 2012. Designed around DEFRA’s framework for pro-environmental behaviour (The 4 E’s: Enable, Engage, Exemplify and Encourage), the week long campaign used interactive games and displays including a giant carbon footprint hunt around the site. Staffwere encouraged to complete a quiz and pledge to adopt some simple lifestyle changes. 200 staff got involved, committing to take action that collectively would result in savings of over 80 tonnes of carbon emissions.

One Planet staff workshops

Client: Fabrick Housing Association

In 2010, BioRegional ran one hour One Planet induction workshops for all 650 staff members at Fabrick, a leading Housing Association in Middlesbrough. The sessions introduced the One Planet Living framework being adopted by Fabrick and provided staff with the opportunity to contribute their own ideas on how Fabrick could become a One Planet organisation. BioRegional then used these ideas to help develop seven priority actions to kick-start their sustainability programme. This included energy awareness training for all staff and a campaign to reduce paper consumption.
