The South East England Development Agency was established by the Government
in April 1999 to take the strategic lead in promoting the sustainable
economic development of the region. SEEDA's mission is to work with
its partners to make the South East of England a world class region,
achieving sustainable development and enhanced quality of life.
SITA
Environmental Trust www.sitaenvtrust.org.uk
SITA Environmental Trust was formed in 1997 to distribute tax credits
generated at SITA operated landfill sites. Each year they allocate
approximately £7 million to community and environmental improvement
projects across the UK. They are currently managing a portfolio
of around 120 active projects.
