We've planted a further 25-acres of fields in Carshalton Beeches with lavender

In 2003 BioRegional planted fields adjacent to Oaks Farm, on the border of Carshalton Beeches in South London, to expand the revival of UK grown lavender. Mayfield Lavender took over management in 2006 and successfully harvested the field for the second time this summer (2007).

Twenty five acres of original heritage varieties are being grown naturally without the use of herbicides or pesticides.

The project has transformed under-used, fly-tipped land into an attractive lavender field, securing the long-term future of essential green space for the community.

The field is open to the public throughout the year.
If you visit please enjoy the flower's perfume but don't pick them!

L
ocated at the intersection of Croydon Lane and Woodmansterne Lane (directly opposite Oaks Park on Croydon Lane) on the Surrey Downs. This is the area where the traditional lavender industry thrived up to the early 1900’s and we believe that lavender was actually grown on the same field until the first world war.
