Environmental Action Fund

The Fund's current priority areas are: a) biodiversity; and b) understanding and awareness of sustainable development.

EAF-funded Biodiversity projects carry out strategic activities to meet the Government's objective of promoting species and habitat biodiversity in England.

EAF-funded Understanding and awareness projects include education for sustainable development (ESD): the learning needed if individuals, communities and businesses are to develop the knowledge, values and skills they need to participate in decisions about the way they do things, individually and collectively, both locally and globally, that will maintain and improve our quality of life and the quality of life of generations to come.

  BOC Foundation
www1.boc.com/foundation

The BOC Group established the BOC Foundation in 1990. Since then it has funded over 100 environmental projects in the UK and invested with its partners over £10 million. The BOC Foundation has supported projects proposing practical solutions to environmental problems. BOC remains committed to these aims and intends to increase the proportion of its environmental spending that goes in direct support of selected projects. Whereas the BOC Foundation’s funding has been spread across a wide range of environmental projects, BOC environment grants in the future will concentrate on projects that improve air and water quality.
