Emmelie Brownlee spoke to Paul Roberts, CEO of Oxford-based employment charity and social enterprise Aspire, about how they are using One One Planet Living and their plans to make sustainability far more accessible.
Digital Communications Manager
I’ve been at Bioregional since 2015, working closely with our One Planet Living partners to share their stories of successful sustainable change. I’m also responsible for managing our digital communications, which includes leading on the launch of our new website in early 2019.
I was communications and events manager at The Schumacher Institute – a Bristol-based ‘think-and-do’ tank working towards a world of reducing inequality within planetary limits. I was lucky to have a very inspiring start to my working life by running a project to document Bristol’s history of environmental action. This meant speaking to more than 100 of the city’s sustainability champions and sharing their stories in Bristol’s Green Roots, a book that charts the city’s progress over the last 40 years.
I love to read, run and cook veggie food. I also justify an addiction to Sci-Fi by claiming it’s the most progressive of TV genres.
