As part of a three-year project, I am reviewing the energy and sustainability aspects of planning applications and advising Lambeth Borough Council on its compliance with planning policy. I use my knowledge of building energy efficiency, low-carbon technologies, certification schemes and relevant planning policies including the London Plan to ensure the highest standards of sustainable design and construction in the borough of Lambeth.

My involvement with the London Energy Transformation Initiative has allowed me to further contribute to a zero-carbon future for London’s built environment. I am also involved in Bioregional’s work with Kingfisher plc and B&Q. This has included supporting Kingfisher to develop an energy strategy for meeting 2025 carbon targets, and supporting its annual sustainability monitoring and reporting.

Before Bioregional

I worked with vulnerable communities and schools of North East Glasgow raising awareness of domestic energy efficiency and the impacts of climate change. I gained my MSc in Carbon Management and BSc (Hons) Environmental Geoscience from the University of Edinburgh.

When I'm not at work

I have a passion for travel and try to visit a new country every year. Cycling, hiking and following Manchester United are other hobbies I enjoy (or get frustrated at, which is often the case for Man Utd).
