Ada Lee
Senior Consultant, Sustainable Places
I am a Chartered Town Planner with expertise in national planning policies and their impact on climate change. In my role, I support local authorities to create policies that will help them achieve their climate goals. I also provide advice to developers on their projects to deliver infrastructure crucial to a net zero future.
Before Bioregional
I was the Policy Specialist for the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), leading on the Institute’s work on infrastructure planning and climate change.
Before the RTPI, I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge, where I studied the politics of engagement in planning. I also have research experience in microclimate and thermal comfort, having worked on several projects on the topic as a research assistant at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
At the start of my career, I was a journalist in Hong Kong, reporting on transport infrastructure, the environment and urban development.
When I’m not at work
I rock climb in the summer and knit in the winter. I also enjoy taking long walks with my family and my dog.
