Lauren Harper
Senior Consultant
What I do
I joined Bioregional's Sustainable Places team in 2026 as a Senior Consultant, helping to champion sustainability in new-build development. Drawing on my experience across housing and development, I support organisations to address climate challenges, enhance nature and create places that are healthier, more resilient and more sustainable.
Before Bioregional
Before joining Bioregional, I spent seven years in the social housing sector. I began my career at Tower Hamlets Homes as Environmental Strategy Lead before joining Peabody, one of the UK's largest housing associations, where I worked for five years as Sustainability Partner.
My work has spanned sustainability strategy, climate risk, nature recovery and stakeholder engagement. At Peabody, I led the development of the organisation's sustainability and nature recovery strategies, helping to embed sustainability across the business and drive positive change. I also worked closely with housing associations across the UK to improve sustainability outcomes for residents, communities and the wider environment.
I hold a BSc in Zoology and a Master's degree in Environmental Management. Having spent much of my career on the client side, I bring a strong understanding of the opportunities, challenges and operational realities facing housing providers and developers, helping me deliver practical and effective sustainability solutions.
When I'm not at work
Outside work, you'll usually find me hiking, swimming in the Hampstead Heath ponds, or exploring the UK's hills and coastlines. And if there's an animal nearby, there's a good chance I'll be trying to make friends with it.
