Net-zero pioneer Futurebuild will return to London’s ExCeL on 1-3 March 2022.

As the home of innovation for the sustainable built environment, it brings together the brightest minds, disruptive thinkers and the most exciting innovators to transform the industry. The curated exhibition alongside a world-class knowledge programme will inspire the change needed to propel the construction industry to net-zero.

Panel discussion featuring Sue Riddlestone

Our CEO and Co-Founder, Sue Riddlestone OBE, will be part of the panel discussion: Raising aspirations - leading by example.

Join us in the Conference Arena on 2 March at 15:00, as the panel discuss a new vision and mission for our industry leaders and their organisations. Chaired by Bea Natzler, Senior Analyst Business and Buildings, Climate Change Committee, the panel will explore how we can move towards requiring benefits, (and not just profit for profit’s sake), as an outcome, and how we can engage more widely, while also delivering net zero in all our projects.

Blog posts and 'eco-bling'

The early days of March 2020 seem a long, long time ago now, so it's fair to say we're very excited to be at Futurebuild again this year. Our 2020 '10 actions for the Built Environment' are still as relevant as ever, and we are fully aware that after a year with a lot of talk, 2022 has to be a year of action for everyone in the sector.

Keep an eye out in February for a guest post on the Futurebuild blog from our CEO, Sue Riddlestone. We can also recommend checking out some recent opinion pieces from our peers, such as 'What should net-zero homes look like?' by Tom Dollard, and 'The race against climate change: does net zero mark the finish line?' by Stephen Good. (On a side note, we particularly enjoy Dollard's description of BedZED as 'eco-bling'.)

We hope to see you there!
