Climate risk analysis

Discover what’s coming & get ahead (before your competitors do)

Climate change and nature loss don’t stay neatly inside sustainability teams.

They can disrupt your assets, operations, supply chains and investment plans, and quietly eat into your margins and long-term growth.

Spot them early, though, and the same risks can become your advantage.

That's where we come in ↓

Hi, we’re Bioregional

We’ll help you cut through the uncertainty, look at the full picture and find the risks and opportunities that really matter, then test how they could play out across future scenarios.

You’ll get clear answers to the questions your board, investors and insurers are already asking. Whether you report under UK CFD, TCFD, ISSB, UK SRS, CSRD or TNFD, we’ll help you meet what’s expected (without the acronym headache).

Plenty of consultancies can help you write a climate disclosure. We’ll also help you use what you find to protect your margins, assets and supply chains.

From “what if?” to a credible plan

We’ll shape the analysis around your business, your data and the decisions you need to make ↓

Step 1

Start with your world

First, we’ll get to know you properly. We can start with a gap analysis against the frameworks, or dive into a full review. We’ll map the parts of your business, locations, assets and value chain that matter most, and take stock of the data you already have, so nothing important slips through the gaps.

Step 2

Find what matters

We’ll identify and prioritise physical and transition risks, alongside nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities. Instead of working from afar, we’ll plug into your teams, connecting silos and bringing in perspectives you might not have considered.

Step 3

Put the future to the test

We’ll use credible, science-based scenarios to explore how your priority issues could play out, and what they could mean for your operations, strategy, costs and bottom line. We use recognised scenarios, such as those from the IPCC and the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS), to test a range of futures, from a rapid move to net zero to a world that warms by 3°C or more.

Step 4

Turn insight into decisions

We’ll translate our findings into practical choices for risk management, investment, governance, targets and business planning, so your team knows exactly what to do next.

Step 5

Tell a credible story

We’ll give you clear, reporting-ready content that meets relevant climate and nature disclosure expectations – in language that your finance director and customers will actually get.

FAQs: Climate risk analysis

Do we need a climate risk assessment?

If you’re a UK-listed company, or a large company or LLP covered by the UK’s Climate-related Financial Disclosure (CFD) rules, you’re already expected to report on climate risks. Even if you’re not, investors, lenders, insurers and major customers are increasingly asking. And knowing where you’re exposed is simply good business.

What’s the difference between physical and transition risks?

Physical risks come from the changing climate itself: flooding, heatwaves, drought and storms hitting your sites, people or suppliers. Transition risks come from the shift to a low-carbon economy: new regulation, carbon pricing, changing customer demand and new technology.

Can you look at nature risks too?

Yes. We can assess climate and nature together, using TNFD’s LEAP approach to uncover your nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities alongside your climate risks.

What if our data isn’t perfect?

It rarely is. We’ll start with what you already have, fill the most important gaps and keep the analysis proportionate, so you get useful answers without a huge data exercise.
