Indicators for sustainable consumption and production in the SDGs
This briefing proposes indicators to track global, national and local progress for sustainable consumption and production (SCP) in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Drawing on Bioregional's practical experience and expertise, and years of engagement with sustainable development (SD) issues at the UN level, we see sustainable consumption and production as being at the core of SD.
To track and verify progress, we need robust indicators which can be used at many levels. We've put forward indicators which align with the SDG targets that are most important to SCP and the criteria we've used to select them.
