It’s all kicking off about the climate at the moment. No sooner had the UK parliament declared a climate emergency than our departing Prime Minister committed to the UK to a new net zero emissions target for 2050. And it now seems the UK is set to host the critical COP26 Climate Summit next year.

So the eyes of the world will increasingly be looking at London, as well as the rest of the UK, to show real leadership on tackling the climate and ecological crisis.

And while Westminster continues to implode over Brexit, our wonderful capital city is showing that leadership.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan formally announced a climate emergency last year, and started to plan the first ever London Climate Action Week as a response.

We've been proud to take part in it along with the prestigious architecture firm Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, who worked with us on one of the UK’s first true zero-carbon communities, One Brighton.

Our main event, which also forms part of Bioregional's 25th anniversary events, is a month-long free photography exhibition throughout July that showcases trailblazing towns and communities around the world. They are tackling the climate emergency, enabling sustainable living and showing that the radical, urgent change that’s needed isn’t just possible – it’s already happening.

These communities have all been designed using our One Planet Living framework, created to enable people to live happy, healthy lives within the limits of our one planet, leaving space for wildlife and wilderness.

Everyone is welcome, so come along and be inspired.

When: 9am on Monday 1 July to 5pm Wednesday 31 July (weekdays only)

Where: Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, 20 Tottenham St, W1T 4RG
